I’ve added a silly little graph widget that plots intervals between updates for the run of the comic thus far. Click on the yellow “stats over time” to unfurl the graph.
This is an object of high design. The data doesn’t easily give way to being graphed. I am just laboring from left to right, one panel at a time, at a relatively random pace dictated by the complexity of the panel or life in general. The update dates get recorded tho—such is the nature of database-driven sequential information presentation contraptions of the website variety—so, having this data available, I cook it a little and present it—giving an exceptionally explicit, at-a-glance overview of the relative randomness of the update schedule.
Is this design for desing’s sake, or would Edward Tufte approve?
